Vol. I · Where we play · Brea Creek

Brea Creek.

Our bonus weekday venue. A walked 9-hole executive course for after-work rounds, beginner-friendly foursomes, and the weeks when 18 holes is too much commitment.

The course.

Brea Creek Golf Course is a small, casual 9-hole executive course in Brea — a neighborhood municipal course, not a destination. Par 31 across 1,839 yards. Short par 3s and par 4s, walkable end-to-end, with a low-key clubhouse and a creek that runs along the edge of the property. Real golf at a smaller scale.

It's the on-ramp for people new to the game and the release valve for members who want a short round without the four-hour commitment. A real round, just shorter.

The role.

Brea Creek isn't a standing weekend slot — it's our bonus venue. When enough members with weekday windows want to play, we form a foursome here. Usually weekday evenings (Wednesday 5 PM, Friday after work), occasionally a relaxed late afternoon when a Saturday foursome doesn't fill.

It's also where new members can take a first round without the pressure of an 18-hole commitment. If your application says "I've barely played" — there's a real chance your first foursome lands at Brea Creek.

Walking or cart?

Walking, almost always. It's an executive course — short distances between holes, designed for walking. Carts are available if you really want one, but we don't think you will. Pick up your clubs, walk the nine, beer at the clubhouse if there's time.

What to bring.

How a weekday evening looks.

Tee time is usually around 5 PM, give or take, when the after-work crowd starts to filter in. You show up 20 minutes early. Check in at the clubhouse, pay the green fee, grab a starter — the course is small enough that there's no real warm-up needed. Meet your three. Walk the nine. The round takes about two hours.

If anyone's up for it after, the clubhouse has cold beer and we close out there. If not, you're home in time for dinner. Either is fine. The point is the round and the people, not the duration.

Apply for Vol. I.

The first 50 founding members pick the option that fits — $29 per round (drop-in, no commitment) or $200/year locked for life (unlimited, 30-day money-back). First drink at the clubhouse on us. Card on file at apply, charged only when you accept a round. Applications take three minutes.
